Why read: If someone were to ask me what my best purchase for under $100 was, I'd easily tell them this book. With 366 days of Stoic insights and exercises, it's a daily “prescription for handling ourselves and our actions in the world." Reading a passage every morning hits the reset button on my day.
Key Take-Aways: Perception - control your perceptions, Action - direct your actions accordingly, and Will - willingly accept what's outside your control - in the present moment (which is key).

Why read: With nearly 3,000 Amazon reviews, Steven Pressfield talks of the “Resistance.” That is, those things that hold us back - and more importantly, being able to recognize them within us. While it’s a book about writers block, it pertains to every area of our lives.
Key Take-Aways: Recognizing what keeps us from doing what we long to do, beating procrastination, and great pieces of practical insight to help get you unstuck.

Why read: While we all hate, despise and fear rejection (for reasons we may or may not even know), is it really all that bad? What if you actually put yourself out there? What would happen? Jia Jiang takes us down this road and shows us that "rejection" really isn't all that bad. Well worth the quick read.
Key Take-Aways: Realizing that rejection really isn't all that bad, how to overcome fear and live more boldly, you just might get what you ask for, and how to turn a no into something positive.

And the cool thing... these are all skills that can be learned.
Key Take-Aways: A step-by-step program for increasing your EQ (Emotional Intelligence) through acquiring the skills of self-awareness, self-management (managing your emotions), social awareness (awareness of others), and relationship management.
